Hello, XXXXXXX.

Is Callahan gone for good or just on vacation?  We really could have used this site when I was on the job.  What a good way to express your views and opinions without having a hammer come down on your head or having a whole station shun you..  God knows I could have filled a few pages.  As for the whole promotion pass over thing -  that department was and may still be the most corrupt institution I have ever seen.  The whole thing makes me laugh now that I think back.  Well as for my well being, I can tell you there is a huge big world outside of SPFR.  One filled with success and reward.  I have been involved in real estate developing and investing for four years now.  I took my settlement from Tampa General Hospital from my diving injury; invested every last dollar in vacant land, houses, buildings and now penthouse's in the Trump Plaza in downtown Tampa.  Needless to say, as you may know, doing this now for four years, I got in before real estate boomed and sold off a lot of property when the market peeked and am now pretty much set,  I got lucky - real lucky.  My wife has been the driving force behind this little empire.  Being a real estate agent, she has her ear to the ground for deals and is well known in the sports world with different athletes and can put deals together with both of us as financial backers.

It was real hairy at first when I was hurt.  Man I lost my job as a fire fighter which in return made me loose my identity as to who I was as a person, not to mention the brain injury I still have not recovered from yet.  It was the most difficult time in my life, not to mention what my wife and kids had to go through seeing me doped up on Oxycontin for a year...  Boy, it has been a long strange road to get to where I am today.  I do miss a lot of you guys.  It truly was a brotherhood.  I could do without the 2 am calls to someone with a toothache and a few assholes that made my life a little hard there and they know who they are..... But I guess in the end I'll have the last laugh and its a pretty damn loud one...

Well keep up the good work XXXXXXX and I hope to make some time to visit my old stomping grounds 11c soon...

Well it's been awhile since I've been on the web site.  Its still very interesting.  I miss it, but most of all I miss you all. Things are great here in North Georgia.  I can't find anything to complain about except the rain - cold rain, occasional snow (just twice since we've been here), the awful hills we have to climb and the traffic that builds up between the 2 stop lights at either end of town (I timed myself the other day I made it to the Home Depot in just over 3 minutes.  If I hadn't caught that 1st red light I'm sure I would have made it, in under three minutes).

Seriously though we are doing just fine up here.  It is a beautiful place to live and raise three boys (4 including me).  I wanted to take a moment out of my busy schedule and say thanks for all of the thoughts and support during this last year.

There are too many to thank so I'll just say a very heartfelt thank-you to all.  Stay safe in 2006 and keep fighting the fight to get what you know should be yours.

God Bless

Your friend, your Brother,

Rob Dobbins and Family
